Meet Dr. Stapleton

Francis J. Stapleton, DDS

Native to the Pleasantville area, and a graduate of Horace Greeley High School; Dr. Stapleton holds advanced degrees from Roanoke College, Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Columbia University's College of Dental Medicine.  He has maintained his office in Pleasantville at this location since 1981. Trained, skilled, and practiced in all areas of dentistry; Dr. Stapleton has distinguished his practice, joining the less than one percent of all dentists in the United States that are qualified to offer the techniques of computerized electromyography, joint vibration analysis, and sirognathology for the diagnosis of temporomandibular dysfunction, pathological dental attrition, and severely damaged bite relationships.

He has held affiliations as a member in both the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Academy of Laser Dentistry. Dr. Stapleton has also been involved in numerous professional organizations, serving as a committee chairman of the Ninth District Dental Society and as a Past President of the Northern Westchester Dental Study Group. He presently serves on the Presidential Advisory Board for Roanoke College, and is an active member of Columbia University's School of Dental Medicine's Alumni Association.

With his wife of over twenty-seven years, Maureen; the Stapletons have been active in the community serving on numerous boards, including Dad's Club and the Village Recreation Board. Maureen is proud to have been an active firefighter in the Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department for twenty years. They have two sons, Francis and Colin. Francis will be graduating from Duke Law School and clerking in Delaware's State Chancery Court prior to joining the Simpson & Thatcher Law Firm in New York City. Colin recently graduated as an Economics major, with honors, from Wake Forest University and is presently employed in Minneapolis as a business analyst for Wipro- India's information technology giant.

Over the years the family has been active in the Pleasantville International Association; hosting numerous exchange students. Additionally, the Stapleton's have enjoyed extensive travel and experiencing many diverse cultures. This world view is somewhat reflected in the diverse nature of the many fine patients that our office has come to know and value over the years.
